Barnsley, Birthdays and Bank Holidays

Well its been some weeks since I last updated my blog so I have decided to try and catch up in one post.......so here we go.
A few weeks ago we spent a weekend in Barnsley to celebrate our friend Geoff's 40th birthday. We had great fun seeing our friends despite a dreadful journey there and back, the traffic on the M1 was awful going and coming back it took over an hour to get across London. It was good to catch up with everyone though and was great to see Andy who now lives in America and had flown over especially for the party. It was just a shame that Andy's wife Liz couldnt make it too, hopefully we will see tham in Las Vegas in May as they are thinking of joining us for a couple of days.

Next was Toms birthday and what a great weekend we had. On the Friday we were planning a quiet night at home, however we got a phone call from our friend Nick on Friday afternoon offering us 2 free tickets to see Simply Red that evening at the o2 arena. Of course we jumped at the chance, especially when Nick told us the tickets were in a box. The show was FANTASTIC, they sung all the hits and by the end everyone was up dancing. Simply Red were simply fantastic! Thanks for a great evening Nick, your a star. The following day we headed up to Regent Street as I had booked us in the Absolute Vodka Ice Bar. Tom had no idea where we were going till we got there! Its was good fun and the 40 mins that we were allowed to be in there flew post, we did however manage a couple of cocktails each in that time!! Have attached a picture of us in our lovely 'designer' thermal capes! After the Ice Bar we had a walk around the West End for a little while before heading home to chill out. The Sunday which was actually Toms birthday was spent relaxing at home, with a yummy chocolate birthday cake!!

Finally a Bank Holiday was upon us, Easter at last. We spent Good Friday with Jules, Tinks and Dan in there lovely home. Jules cooked us a fab lunch and afterwards us girls did some stamping and colouring while Tom and Dan watched tv. The rest of the weekend (apart from a visit to my Mums) was spent relaxing at home and eating far too much chocolate. I spent quite a lot of time in the PPoC making cards and scrapping. I have included pictures of a few of the LO's I did, one is of the daff's that were in bloom outisde our flat, one is of Simply Red and the other is of Denny and Mark outside a pub in Oxford with some bloke who plays rugby!! I will try and post again this week and include pictures of some of the cards I made.

As always thanks for looking. x x
