The Sun is Shining

And it has been shining all day here - fingers crossed that Summer is finally on its way (and long may it stay!!).

All has been back to normal here this week, in other words DH has gone back to work and peace reigns again of an evening - LOL. Have spent a few evenings this week in the PPoC making cards, and today I have made another 4. I was a good crafter today and used my nestabilities and embossing folders, I have been looking at other blogs and websites to get some ideas and inspiration for the layout of my cards. The ones I made in the week were using a couple of Magnolias and today I have used my recently acquired Miss Anya's(am loving these right now and have my eyes on a couple more - along with WOJ's Willow Shopping).

Tomorrow is London Marathon day and as we are lucky enough to live just off the route we shall be heading up to Jamacia Rd to watch and cheer on the thousands of people who will be pounding the streets of London for all sorts of good causes. If I manage to get any decent pictures I will be sure to post them on here. Hopefully the sun will shine again, good for us spectators but not so good for the runners.

Hope your all having a good weekend and that your enjoying the fantastic weather we are having right now...

Happy Birthday Daisy!

A bit late but better late than never I suppose! Saturday 17th April was Daisy's first birthday, can't believe she is now 1 and that we have nearly had her for a year, the time has gone so fast. She had a lovely birthday, we spent the day at Mums so she could play in the garden with Scarlett. She ran around so much she was shattered and slept all the way home in the car and most of Sunday - bless. She got some treats and a pink squeaky ball from Scarlett and we bought her a new collar and lead from Holly and Lil so she was throughly spoilt. Below is a pic of her taken on her birthday she looks lovely and white as she was bathed in the week.

I had Tom home all last week as he was poorly sick :( As he wanted to watch football most evenings I spent a fair bit of time in the PPoC. I managed to finish a couple of LO's and make 9 cards as well as have a clean and tidy up of my desk. Below is one the the LO's I did. The pictures were all taken at Christmas 2010 and the papers are all BG Eskimo Kisses.

Thanks for looking, will update again soon with pictures of the cards I have made.

Happy Easter

Good afternoon all and a very happy Easter. Hope you are all enjoying the long weekend and that the Easter bunny bought you loads of yummy chocolate. So far we have had a lovely weekend, on Friday Miss Scarlett came to stay and have a sleep over with her best friend Daisy and yesterday Jules popped by with Dan and Sian. It was lovely to see them and as the weather was pleasant we headed up to the river for a late afternoon walk, we even stopped in the Horniman at Hays Galleria for a drink.

Today has been a lovely lazy Sunday and after a few weeks of doing nothing creative I have finally managed to spend some time in the PPoC. After a little tidy around I sat down and made up some page packs so I can come home from work and scrap - well thats the plan anyway!! I even managed 2 LO's today, both of which are of Daisy.....

Winter - For this LO I used a sheet of coredinations as the base which I sanded back to show some of the colour core. I am not sure what make the paper is that I have used, its one I bought at Puffin ages ago and have finally got round to using. The word/cardstock embellishments were a freebie from one of the scrapping shops I went to in Vegas last year - I knew they would come in handy one day!! Finally I added a little bit of bling.

Who's been sleeping..... -For this LO I used bazzil cardstock and half a sheet of shaped Making Memories paper. The title is a mis-match of different Papermania and American crafts alphabets (I didnt have enough to so it all the same). The flower and brad have been in my stash for ages.

Right I am off to find my Easter egg and get a glass of wine, enjoy the rest of the weekend everyone.

Loads of love - Jane x x
