Valentines Sunday

Afternoon all,

Had a nice weekend so far, although I am NOT liking the bitterly cold weather we are having right now. You can keep your snow and ice thank you very much, give me the long, hot Summer days any time! On Friday night we went to Bluewater to meet up with Darcy, Ian, Jules, Tinks and Denny. We went to TGI's and had a lovely time chatting and catching up. It was so good to see Darcy and Ian as we have not seen them for over a year, it was also good to see my bestie's Jules and Denny. Ladies if you read this we are long overdue a girly play date.

I spent sometime in my room yesterday, just pottering about and having a general sort out. Re-arranged some of my storage and started a pile of stuff that will either go on Ebay or be swapped. I did manage to do one layout using up a sheet of Christmas paper that I bought in Crafts U Love. The picture of us was taken on the night we went out for our Christmas meal.

As Tom will be at work on the evening of Feb 14th we are celebrating it a couple of days early. Later this evening we are having the M&S Gourmet Dine In Meal, really looking forward to it, especially as it includes a bottle of fizz!! I made 4 cards for the guys at work to give to their partners, the pictures of those are on FB if you want to see them. The card I made for Tom is below, I used a card I found on Pinterest as my inspiration. The XO paper is from a kit I got from Truly, Madly, Crafty (will be adding a link to them shortly), the chipboard heart was inked up and then covered with crackle glaze. I then gave the whole card and seam binding a spritz of Tattered Angels glimmer mist in Antique Lace. Finally I cut 2 little tags on my cricut and added some Glizt letters. Just hope he likes it!!

Hope you have all had a nice weekend despite the weather.

Another Christmas Layout

Just thought I would post to show you the other layout I completed yesterday, I added the title tonight.

Again the papers and embellishments are Jillibeans soup, the title is American Crafts Thickers. The pictures were taken on Christmas day while Daisy was walking around amongst the presents. She got several gifts but her favourite was from Jack Dog and is a pig that makes an oinking noise when squeezed. We thought that the oink wouldn't last long but its still going strong, Daisy just LOVES pig!!

Here is a picture of Daisy in the snow yesterday. Unfortunately we couldn't let her off the lead to run and play in the snow because of the stitches in her leg, poor thing just kept looking at us as if to say 'please let me go and play'.

Freezing February

Well this month has started out a chilly one and as predicted by the weathermen the snow arrived too. Luckily (and hopefully) we have only had one night of it, as nice as it looks its really not good or practical when you have to go to work.

Mostly due to the cold weather we have had a nice quiet weekend at home. Tom was at work on Friday evening so as Daisy had been at the vets to have a cyst removed from her leg I curled up on the sofa with her and gave her lots of gentle cuddles. Saturday was so cold, even a short walk over the the farmers market was enough to chill us through!! I spent a good few hours in my craft room and I managed 2 layouts, one was a team challenge which has been uploaded to my UKS gallery and the other is below..

The pictures were taken last year in Spain at the top of Mount Calamorro (where the cable car from Tivoli World takes you). The papers are Kaisercraft, I bought them last year and have now finally used them all up.

We were going to pop down to Bluewater today but as we woke to snow we decided to give it a miss and stay at home. Again I spent most of the day in my room (the perfect way to spend these cold winter days in my opinion). I managed two more layouts, there is actually a third on my desk but I need to add a title before I can photograph it. Here is one of the layouts I completed..

The papers, letters and embellishments are all by Jillibeans.

Hope your all keeping safe and warm and as always thanks for stopping by my little blog. X x
