Rain, Rain Go Away

And don't come back another day!! I know we are in drought and we need the rain but enough is enough for now. Today's plans to go and see George play football were cancelled as the game was called off due to the rain and our original plan to go to Greenwich were also shelved as its no fun in cold, wet and windy weather. Ahh well, all will take place on another day and it did mean that we had time to go to Tesco to do a shop and then when we came back I re-arranged the kitchen cupboards, something I have had in mind for ages. Next weekend am hoping to tackle clothes and those odd cupboards that seem to 'collect' stuff!! Here are a couple of layouts from last weekend, they both had a couple of things that I needed to add to them which is now done. The first is of Scarlett at JLS and the second is of me and my 'Woolie' friend Sarah at Ally Pally.
Finally here is a picture of the front cover of my Pink SMASH book, I coloured it in using my Copic pens and then added some ric-rak, ribbon and a few gems...
Hope you have all had a lovely weekend, I am about to finish cooking dinner and then sit down with a glass of wine and chill out. Thanks for looking x x

Cake and Bakes

Today I went to the Cake Making and Decorating exhibition/show at the Excel centre with my friend Theresa. Cake making has turned into something I am quite enjoying at the moment so I wanted to go along and get a few bits to add to my baking stash. The show was great and we both got loads of inspiration for future baking, there was so much on offer. I was after a cupcake stand and a cake caddy which I managed to get along with some glitters, cupcake cases, sugar paste, cutters and toppers. I probably could have bought loads more but the show was really busy and at times you just couldn't get to see what was on the stands. BY the time we left we were both quite frazzled by all the constant pushing and shoving!! I have attached a couple of pictures of what I bought, am hoping to have a play with these next weekend...
Tomorrow we are supposed to be going to watch George play in his last game of the season, however that may now be called off due to the awful weather and constant rain that we currently have. This afternoon I made some chocolate and vanilla cupcakes to take along with me, but if the game is cancelled it looks like it will just be me and Tom eating them!!
Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend....I will post again tomorrow to share a couple more layouts with you. TTFN x x

A Few Scrappy Days - Part 2

Thought I would pop back with a couple more layouts for you to look at... This one is a double layout and is the March kit from the Basic Grey Page of the Month Kit. The title of the layout is The Sweet Life and for this I chose pictures of me and DH on holiday in Spain, as for us that is the very Sweet Life, I just need to add the journalling and it will be complete. This is the first year I have had these kits and I was a little scared of starting them, now I have completed one I am hooked!!
The next layout is of Daisy, pictures were taken last weekend, just after she had been to the groomer's for a bath and a haircut. She always looks so cute and pretty when she has just been groomed, thought I would take photos in black and white for a change. Papers are all from a Gotta Craft kit (in case you hadn't noticed I have used my kits a lot this weekend!!). Again I just need to add the journalling and this will be ready to add to an album.
I hope everyone has had a good weekend, I know I have. I have scrapped, I have enjoyed some girly fun & chatter, I have eaten cakes and I have started to have a sort out of my stash (no mean feat I can tell you!!). TFL, love and hugs, Jane x x

A Few Scrappy Days - Part 1

Afternoon all...hope you are all fine and well on this (so far) sunny Sunday afternoon. I have had a busy few days away scrapping with my friend Jules and the ladies of the Coney Hall crop on Friday (thanks to Al Westgate) and the Kings Hill crop on Saturday (thanks to Justine Coombes). I was rather productive and managed seven and a half single layouts and one double! Here is the first batch I have to share with you.. Both of these layouts were done using a Gotta Craft kit and pics of me and DH. The papers were all by Authentique, I thought I would struggle with them to be honest as yellow is not a colour I care that much for but I think it really suits the black and white pictures. For the layout of me I hand cut the flowers from one of the sheets of paper and added a few gems at the bottom. For the one of DH all I added were a few gems and a piece of ric-rak from my stash.
The next layout is again using a Gotta Craft kit, I added a piece of wide ric-rak from my stash, some Bakers Twine for the buttons and Thickers for the 'JLS'. The picture is of my niece and my sister at the O2 the night we took Scarlett to see her fave boy band!! The concert tickets are tucked behind the stripe of paper.
The last layout I have to share for now is another one from the O2, I think these papers and embellishments are all Echo Park This and That collection.
Thanks for looking, I will be back later with some more for you to look at..x x

Scrapping, Shopping and Stash

Evening all, here we are Sunday evening again!! Been a good weekend here, haircuts for me and Daisy, a fab Las Vegas themed wedding reception and a trip to Ally Pally for me!! Firstly I will share a layout I did during the week, the pictures are not brilliant as they were taken on a mobile phone, but they had to be scrapped - they are of DH and some of the Chelsea players who he met on a weekend away with the boys last year. He was in Liverpool for one of his friends 40th birthday and they were staying at the Malmaison hotel which is where the Chelsea first team were staying for a match against Everton the next day. Anyway some of the team, namely John Terry, Frank Lampard and Fernando Torres were happy to pose for pics (boo-hiss to Ashley Cole who refused t talk to anyone!!). The papers I used were from a GottaCraft kit, the letters are American Crafts Thickers except for the 's' at the end of boys which was from the kit.
The next couple of pictures are of the stash I bought at Ally Pally today, a lovely purple Smash book and some Smash accessories to go with it. I also got some 12x12 papers, some bling, some card making bits, a set of alpha stickers and some chipboard to alter.
Finally I have a picture of me and my woolie friend Sarah who I spent a couple of hours with at Ally Pally this morning, it was fab to see her and share our passion for stash - hope its not too long before I see this lovely lady again!!
Hope everyone has had a good weekend, as usual thanks for stopping by and looking.... Love and hugs, Jane x x

More Layouts

Ok, so I am on a bit of a roll scrapping wise (nothing to do with wanting the team crown this month Alli and Sandra!! LOL) I am just enjoying finally having enough time to spend playing with paper and stash in my lovely pink craft room. Also next week I am off to two crops - yay for a whole weekend of scrapping!! I have two layouts to share tonight, a double one I did on Sunday afternoon and a single one I did a couple of nights ago. The double layout was done using Kraft card stock and some old papers I have had in my stash for ages. The letters are American Crafts thickers. I have used some pictures of DH with our old and new car and were taken in Jan of this year.
The second layout is again based around pics of DH, these are not brilliant as I had to just snap them before he stopped me from taking them!! As many of you know he does the ironing in our house (yes I know lucky me!). Anyway late Sunday afternoon is usually his time of choice to carry out his duties, now he has his ipad he can actually do the ironing and watch the footie at the same time. And they say men cant multi task??!!
Thanks for stopping by, love and hugs Jane x x

Bank Holiday Blues

Well here we are at the end of the Easter Bank Holiday, its been a good weekend for us but it has gone so fast....wish we had a couple more days before going back to work!

We had good day yesterday, went to Mums for Easter lunch. Tom, Steve and George went to the golf driving range while I stayed at home with Sarah as she was doing my eyelash extensions for me. They are very long this time and I feel quite concious that I have them, am sure that after a couple of days I will get used to them.

I have a couple more layouts to share with you, these were completed Saturday and yesterday...today I did a double layout and I updated my Smash book. I will upload some pictures of the Smash book soon!!

The first layout below is using Basic Grey Curio papers and letters, the pictures were taken inside some of the beautiful chapels and churches in Marbella Old Town. The edges of the papers were inked with Java Brown chalk ink...

The next layout was done using a Gottacraft kit, the papers are the same MME Kraft range that I used on a layout in my previous post, the letters on this one are American Crafts stickers.

Hope you have all had a good Easter too...

TFL, Jane x x

Easter Scrapping

Good evening all...well its been a busy few days for us here. Thursday was Toms birthday so I took a days leave so we could spend the day together. The plan was to go to Brighton for the day but as the weather was rubbish we decided to give it a miss, instead we walked up to Borough Market to get some nice yummy foodie treats for the weekend. We stopped at the Woolpack in Bermondsey St on the way back for lunch before heading home to start watching the golf. Tom said he had a nice day and he loved his presents so a good start to the Bank Holiday weekend.

On Friday we went down to Ashford to do a little shopping, Tom needed a pink polo shirt and new shoes for a charity golf day he is going on next month. We managed to get all that we needed and I got a couple of tops and some new Yankee candles. It was a flying visit really as we had to come home so I could start cooking roast dinner for us and Linda & Bill. We had a nice evening with them, the dinner went down well, there were no left overs at all (always a good sign!!).

Today has been a lovely lazy day, Tom went football so I have been crafting, I managed 3 layouts!!

The first one is using Three Bugs papers and embellishments which I have had for ages, I think this was one of the first collection packs I bought when I started scrapping!! The layout is for Scarlett's album, the pictures were taken at Maria's house after a family meal back in January.

The next one has been done using a Gotta Craft kit, the pictures of DH were taken on our Spanish holiday last year. The papers are from the My Minds Eye Kraft collection.

The last layout I have to share is again for Scarlett's album, the picture is of her with Tom and my cousin Jon. The papers are all by Echo Park, they were a Christmas gift from my friend Jules. The flowers are all by Prima.

Hope everyone is having a great bank holiday, shame the weather is not so good but fingers crossed it improves soon.

TFL, Jane x x

Twice in One Day

Here I am again with another update, this time to share a couple of the layouts I have done this weekend (in total I did 3 with 1 more partially completed on my desk).

The first one is a picture of my cousin Jon with the Lion statue that he wanted to take home, he actually asked Tom if he thought they would get it into his car!! LOL I used up a Gotta Craft kit for this layout, the title is American Crafts Thickers.

The second layout is a picture of Scarlett, Natalie and Hollie taken at Maria's house after we had Hayleys 21st birthday meal. The papers and other bits are all Echo park apart from some of the letters which are by Glitz and the scalloped circle which was cut on the Cuttlebug using Spellbinder dies.

Hope you like them....TFL, Jane x x

April's First Update

Afternoon all, well here we are in April already - this year is flying past!!

Thought I would upload a few a picture of a layout I did last month and a card that I made using the scraps left over.

I have had these papers for ages, I think that are We R Memory Keepers. The title is American Crafts Thickers and the picture of Tom was taken whilst we were on holiday in Spain last year.

The card was made for my Mum for Mothers Day and is a 'Joyfold' card. I found the instructions for this on the web somewhere although I slightly adapted it to suit the size of card I wanted to make. I think she liked it!

March was a pretty busy month for us, we had visitors and a stag and hen party to go on so I had little chance to craft. This has been the first weekend that we have had totally to ourselves so I have made the most of it and spent some time in my craft room. So far I have managed 3 layouts, I will post again later to share some of them with you.
