Florida Planning Part 4 - Almost There

Hello and welcome back to another post, this one is another Florida update. I was seriously lacking inspiration for a post this week but Becca over at That Florida Girl  suggested it was time for another update seeing as have now ticked a load more things off our pre-holiday to do list. So here we go, thought I would do this list style again as its a lot easier to keep tabs on what I have shared with you when I look back/do the next update.

1. Universal Studios
We finally booked our park tickets for Universal, we ended up going for a 14 day 3 park pass. I did a lot of research online and in the end we bought them online from Florida Tix as they had the best deal. The ticket type we have bought allows us unlimited entry to Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure and Volcano Bay which is Universals water park. We probably didn't need a 14 day pass but the price difference between that and a lesser day one wasn't that much and it will give us a lot more flexibility as to when we visit. Also as we are thinking about a return trip next year (yes you heard that right, we haven't even been this year and we are already planning on going back!) it will should give us a better price on upgrading to annual passes once we are there.

2. Mickeys Very Merry Christmas Party
When I saw a post on the Dibb last week saying that some of the approved suppliers had these tickets in stock I really couldn't believe it as I had read that that the dates are not normally announced till late April with the tickets then on sale in May. I checked on the Disney website and couldn't see anything on there however when I checked on Attraction Tickets Direct they had all the dates listed as well as the tickets! Of course I snapped up ours just as soon as I could, the service from ATD was first class, I placed my order Monday afternoon and by Tuesday lunchtime the tickets had arrived. Originally we had said that we would go to this event on our very last night but I was a little worried about leaving it until then so we opted for the night before. I have since read that Friday nights for this are pretty busy so the Thursday will be better for us all round. I am so excited to see this, its one of the things I am most looking forward to out of everything we have planned.

3. Holiday Planner
Anyone who knows me will know just how much I like stationary, planning and making lists. Every time we go on holiday, whether its a USA trip or a visit to Spain I will have a notebook or journal with all the details and plans in. As soon as I saw this Ultimate Disney Vacation planner from My Pixie Printables on Etsy I just knew I had to make the purchase. Once I had downloaded it I printed off a rough version so I could start to modify it to suit me, I then amended page titles etc on the PDF version and with this done I re-printed on some thin A5 cardstock and popped it into a red binder. All I need to do now is start to fill it in with all the details of our holiday.

4. Itinerary
I know that we still have a long way to go (currently 226 days) but I have started work on our daily plans. Next month we will reach the 180 day mark which means that we can start making our Advance Dining Reservations. Some days we will probably just wing it and eat at wherever takes our fancy but there are a number of places that we know 100% that we want to eat at so these are the ones that we will make ADR's for. I have listed a few of them below, let me know what you think and if you have any other suggestion:-
1. Be Our Guest - Dinner
2. Crystal Palace - Breakfast
3. Ohana - Breakfast
4. Garden Grill - Lunch
5. California Grill - Dinner
6. Yachtsman - Dinner

So that's about all for now, we still have a few more bits and pieces to arrange but I will fill you in on those once they are all done. A big thanks to Becca for the post prompt, please pop over to her blog and show her some love, there is a link to her page at the top of this post.

Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to read.
